Too bad it’s located in “The Best of the New South” !
Could be worse. Could be located in a town dubbed “The Holy City” with nary a prison, an abortion clinic, a strip club or any other seriously dark place of ministry where the Wesleys and Booths of the world told us we should be.
Jackson is what it is – a great place for ministry unless, of course, you are in search of that virtuous holy enclave nestled on the countryside with enviable fall foliage and where “all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking and all the children are above average.” Woe, be gone!
It’s a great seminary and anyone who would say otherwise has not attended. I spent four years there and wish to visit it soon. It is not the place that matters if God is with you. Make up your mind and follow God everything else is mere rubbish.
