The Voice of the Martyrs - News

Some believe that the Al Qaeda prisoners at Guantanamo Bay under U.S. forces are being treated terribly. Let's compare Al Qaeda prisoners, whose desire is to kill, to the Chinese Christians who are trying to spread Good News of salvation. Compare the treatment given to Al Qaeda to the treatment given to Chinese Christians by their own government. Maybe we should make a prisoner swap with the Chinese.

This article by The Voice of the Martyrs shows the daily struggle that Christians have in China.

I don't believe that any persecution comes from good... but it sure does divide the wheat from the chaff. (some good can come from persecution) Maybe we should all go under a bit of intense scrutiny just so we would take our faith a bit more seriously. I wonder how Barna polls in the US, about the number of self-professed "Christians", would change if taken while under some more "adverse" circumstances?

Andrew-
If justice was swift and punishment given to match the crime, there would not be such comments. The facts are not present and to propogate non-factual belief will only create conflicts and disunity. The fact is that these men commited crimes that they must be punish for. To help curb the idea that man can do whatever he likes and not pay a price for it leads people into thinking that they actions do not have consequence. This type of thinking will create a society where people will live fulfilling the desires of self, at the expense of others.
